Teaching Mental Health for Teens: My Google Classroom Project

Why I Created This Class

I created a Google Classroom to teach teens about mental health—a topic that I believe is extremely important, especially for young people. As a teenager myself, I’ve seen how stress, anxiety, and pressure from school and social media can affect students. I wanted to make a safe space to learn about mental health, talk about it openly, and get support.

What Students Will Learn

In my class, students will explore:

  • What mental health is and why it matters

  • Signs of stress, anxiety, and depression

  • Where to find help and how to ask for it

  • How to support a friend who is struggling

  • Common myths and truths about mental health

  • How social media can affect mental health

I also created a Google Slides presentation, an interactive quiz, and a welcome video. The class includes reliable resources and real-life tools that teens can use in their everyday lives.

Final Thoughts

I hope this class helps more teens understand that they’re not alone, and that it’s okay to talk about mental health. If you’re a student, teacher, or just someone who wants to learn more, I invite you to join my class!
